Salaar Movie Review
In ‘Salaar’ Prashanth Neel’s talent as a director shines bright. He skillfully guides us into a world where we cheer for the main character using storytelling that feels almost god-like. The movie succeeds in being exciting, grabbing our attention with intense action and a strong sense of hero worship. The story unfolds in four different ways, adding unique layers to the narrative. The city of Kanzar becomes an essential part of the story, connecting with the characters and their journeys. The friendship between Prithviraj and Prabhas is a powerful aspect, relying on simple yet impactful emotions instead of dramatic music. Yet, not everything in the movie works perfectly. Some storylines like those involving Shruti Hasan and the mother sentiment, lack depth. The pacing is uneven, with a slower first half and a more engaging second half. Neel expertly handles the characters, creating a gripping drama that mirrors the complexity of the Mahabharata series. Despite some exaggerated moments, especially in mass scenes, Prabhas, especially post-‘Baahubali,’ fits his role perfectly. The world Neel builds in ‘Salaar’ is unique and captivating, making the movie a worthwhile watch despite its flaws.
I am giving ” ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 ” for Salaar Part 1 : Ceasefire & you ? (comment below)
